NutriRite Home™ Renal Nutrition Therapy for Peritoneal Dialysis Patients
Intraperitoneal Nutrition is tailored to both CCPD and CAPD Patients
Intraperitoneal Nutrition (IPN) is renal nutrition therapy for patients on peritoneal dialysis. Peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients lose an average of 10-20 grams of protein per day during dialysis. NutriRite Home™ IPN protein therapy replaces the protein lost through supplemental amino acids and improves the nutritional status of the patient. Patients receive customized NutriRite Home™ therapy which consists of amino acids added to dialysate. The patient simply exchanges one of their PD dialysate bags for a NutriRite Home™ therapy bag every day.
Patients receive weekly delivery of NutriRite Home™ to their residence, and home delivery of their refrigeration unit. In addition, patients are provided personal training by a licensed nurse, and are monitored by licensed pharmacists. Clinical customer care is available 24/7 through the Patient Care America 800 number.
When is the Rite Time for NutriRite IDPN?
NutriRite Home™ is available only through prescription. Patient Care America partners with PD patients, their renal dietitian, and their PD nurse together with their nephrologist to ensure optimal nutrition and positive outcome.
